How do you get pet odor out of carpet...FOR GOOD?

Replace carpet or buy an ozone generator on eBay to zap the smell. You can try a carpet steamer again with really hot water mixed with oxy clean as long as the carpet isn't wool. Sounds as if the smell has sunk into the pad below the carpet.
