Question on "God manifest in the flesh" ?

Actually, word is another name for wisdom. In Greek Gnostic or Platonic philosophy, wisdom created the world; wisdom is the supreme god's creative nature (almost a separate entity or god or a "helper" which or who is usually feminine). In John 1, the Greek words are translated best as Word is an "it". And the word or "wisdom created flesh", not "wisdom became flesh". In this case, the King James version is a more accurate translation than many modern English versions.
